Taking A Break?
Work has been grinding down on me lately, and it’s harder and harder to find the time and motivation to squeeze in a blog post here and there. I don’t want to say I’ve come down with blogger fatigue, or that I’m officially taking a blog hiatus, because I know I’ll get incensed over something soon and be compelled to comment on it. But I must admit that my sporadic posting of late has decreased my traffic so dramatically that I sometimes feel like I’m shouting just to hear my own echo. Maybe there’s a popular group blog out there that’s looking for a fresh voice?
That would allow me to throw some occasional insight to the commentariat without having to wave shiny objects in front of their faces every day just to keep their attention. Anyway, it's just something for everyone to think about over the holiday weekend.
Speaking of the holiday, there’s 4th of July content below the fold:
To say that the American Revolution was monumental challenge is an understatement. Unless you are history buff, you probably don't realize how close the revolution came to collapsing upon itself -- more than once -- in our nation's infant years.
And as difficult as the revolutionary endeavor was, imagine if the Continental Congress and colonial militiamen had to deal with this kind of "patriotism" from their allies with printing presses: (via Powerline)
